Teaching skiing and
snowboarding on the slopes is what most strangers think is the extent of
my profession. However, one of the benefits of working
individually with people in private lessons is that I get to know
my clients more personally. I have developed friendships with
those who return yearly. I can also extend my assistance to help
with things beyond the scope of ski lessons.
Most of my clients will schedule lesson dates well in advance of
their trips so I've been able to help make arrangements for lodging
accommodations, equipment rentals, discount ticket purchases and special
needs required for their stay. Once my guests are into their
vacation I can assist in obtaining special information about the area
and securing other last minute special services. I often spend
time after the lifts close helping them to select equipment and getting
precision alignment analysis, footbeds and boot fitting.
When we can spend a few days together on snow whether it be half day
lessons or full day we can really work on the biomechanical fine tuning
of your equipment to match your body and physical abilities. This
is a most important part of my teaching. You can ski and snowboard
far better if your equipment is set up to match your body so you don't
have to fight it or force it. |
